Notion ToDo list for Project Management
Notion ToDo list for Project Management
After thinking a bunch about what I wanted and liked about the Obsidian set up, I did my best to create it in notion.
I have one list of tasks, and I have subtasks. I have this in one list and I have a rollup telling me what percent of subtasks are completed. Later as I complete subtask projects Ill add an archive button, for now, I don't need one. Its beautifully simple, and I can drag and drop all the task to reorganize. The only thing i haven't figured out is how to set a priority based on the order I put the tasks in. But for now the work around is to take a look at them in the timeline view (which unlike every other project management software out there doesn't cost me anything to use) and drag the tasks to different dates. and I have the view set to sort things by date, which automatically adjusts when I drag the tasks around on the timeline.
The parent task takes the place of the Project, but makes it a lot easier to organize everything visually. And it makes it have a similar ease of daily use as the obsidian checklist.
Wow was it hard to get to this point. Just spending a whole day playing around with Clickup. .. ugh. Anyways for now Notion is the way to go for me. And I would even pay for it, especially because it has things like the ability to build websites and send emails and all kinds of other useful shit.
